YFA supports women's groups by providing tree and fruit seedlings to improve household incomes, strengthen food security, and promote environmental conservation:
YFA embraces community dialogue by creating inclusive platforms where community members come together to identify and address the
key challenges affecting their lives. These dialogues focus on issues such as improving agricultural productivity,
promoting access to education, and raising awareness about gender-based violence (GBV). By encouraging open discussion and
collective action, YFA strengthens community participation, empowers local voices, and supports sustainable development
YFA has significantly improved the livelihoods of many communities in Oyam, Kole, and Lira districts through its
community empowerment programs. By training women in value addition, YFA has enhanced their skills in processing,
packaging, and marketing agricultural products, enabling them to increase their incomes and create sustainable
livelihood opportunities
Through the distribution of seedlings, environmental awareness campaigns, and community participation,
YFA encourages the restoration of degraded land, biodiversity conservation, and the protection of natural resources
In support of a greener environment, YFA collaborates with local churches to promote tree-planting initiatives aimed at
restoring vegetation, protecting the ecosystem, and encouraging community participation in environmental conservation.
Through these partnerships, communities are mobilized to take collective responsibility for nurturing trees and
safeguarding natural resources for present and future generations
